AAround the Province of Malaga you can find some amazing “pueblos blanco” – white villages!
With white washed homes and narrow passageways, Mijas is one of them!
We arrived in this beautiful city on Costa del Sol on our way back home in Mezquitilla and hand some time to enjoy it’s narrow streets, amazing views and a CHOCOLATE FACTORY! Yes, you can visit it, yes they have a store with so many options to buy for the loved ones…if you can resist the temptation and won’t eat them until you arrive home :)) but I will show you more below in the article!
Mijas’s centre is a typical Andalusian white-washed village and streets decorated with a diversity of flowers.
Like many Spanish villages, Mijas has a very busy Events Calendar with many ‘fiestas’ that you will enjoy

While in Mijas, make sure to visit the Botanical Garden also,🌺🌵🌳🌴 is large with a nice variety, attractive and very well integrated with the old defensive walls of the town (la Muralla).
When you visit it make sure to go to the balcony area – from there you can also see…guess what..Mijas! Yes you read that right because now you are in the oldest part of Mijas high away from the coast – on a mountainside

Mijas Pueblo is the white village standing high up the mountain ⛰ with spectacular views ✔ – Like this one 🍾over the Mediterranean, while Mijas Costa refers to the coastal resort down the mountain.
Also ➡ Mijas is only 30km away from Malaga so if you are around you must visit this amazing place – it’s worth it!
